Avery Bellis is a Product Development Engineer at Moshun who specializes in transforming “back-of-the-napkin” sketches into market-ready pilot production. Before joining Moshun in 2026, Avery spent nearly a decade as a mechanical design consultant, bringing innovative solutions to life across industries ranging from autonomous robots and tech gadgets to consumer electronics and pet products.
With a Bachelor’s in Engineering Systems and Design from the University of Illinois and a Master’s in Engineering Design and Innovation from Northwestern University, Avery draws on his background in human-centered design to discover unmet user needs and design and build physical solutions that resolve them. When he isn’t prototyping at the office, you can find him backpacking through the Boundary Waters, skiing, teaching himself new craft hobbies, or tackling a new DIY project at home.
